Kanamari is the ancient Japanese word for metal tableware. Lacquering metal was a rather uncommon technique in Japan’s Edo period, mostly reserved for weapons and armour. Now revived by Echizen’s craftsmen, the Kanamari series offer a distinct sense of wabi sabi by finishing the metal with thick brush strokes. The bowls come in three different shapes, in red or black.
